Background

Dr Hugh Dixson is a Nuclear Medicine Physician based in Wollongong, NSW. Dr Dixson completed his medical training at The University of Sydney and Nuclear Medicine training at Westmead Hospital, Sydney. He gained further experience in Nuclear Medicine by undertaking a CTCA Fellowship at Zurich University Hospital, Switzerland and a PET Fellowship at St Thomas’ Hospital, London. Dr Dixson has worked in Nuclear Medicine for over 25 years in both public and private practice and is also Senior Staff Specialist at Bankstown Lidcombe Hospital. He is a past President of the Australasian Association of Nuclear Medicine Specialists and has held the position of VMO in Nuclear Medicine at Wollongong and Gosford Hospitals. Dr Dixson values education and is a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at UNSW in Sydney.
