Dr Sugendran Pillay is a Radiologist based in Southwest Sydney and has worked with Lumus Imaging (formerly Healthcare Imaging Service) since 2013. Dr Pillay completed his medical training at The University of Sydney and radiology training at Liverpool and Campbelltown Hospitals in Sydney. Following this, he undertook an MRI Fellowship at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, which encompassed Neurological, Musculoskeletal and Oncology imaging.

Dr Pillay also holds Senior Staff Specialist and VMO appointments in the Sydney Southwest Local Health District, where he is involved with Neuro-Oncology and Rheumatology clinical trials imaging.

He has an active role in Neuroradiology and MSK research as well as teaching and the supervision of Radiologists in training across Southwest Sydney, having also been a former Director of Training in this network.

His special interests include MSK imaging (Sports injury, Rheumatological and Degenerative conditions as well as image guided pain management), Prostate oncology imaging and Neuroradiology including Neuro-oncology, Stroke and Spinal imaging
