About me
Dr Ahmed Mayat is a radiologist based in Southwest Sydney.
Dr Mayat completed his undergraduate medical degree at the Nelson Mandela School of Medicine, University of Natal in Durban, South Africa. His radiology training was completed at the King Edward VIII and Wentworth Hospitals in Durban where he also worked as a consultant radiologist.
Dr Mayat joined Sydney Southwest LHD in 2001 as a Staff Specialist and holds a conjoint Senior Lecturer position in the faculty of Medicine at the universities of New South Wales and Western Sydney.
He is currently the Managing Radiologist at the Lumus Imaging sites in the Macarthur region and a part time Staff Specialist at Campbelltown Public Hospital.
Dr Mayat has a keen interest in MRI, Cardiac CT, and image guided pain management. He also has an interest in research and has presented at international conferences and has been published in peer reviewed journals. He is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
