What is the Student Sponsorship Program?
Fourth year Students can apply for a sponsorship with Lumus Imaging Queensland up to a maximum of $7,200 to be awarded on the successful completion of a fourth-year placement.
Scope
- The Student Sponsorship Program applies to all current fourth year Medical Imaging students who complete a successful fourth year with Lumus Imaging and fulfill the requirements of the program.
- The sponsorship payment will be paid to the student on the successful completion of their placement, or in two installments being the mid-point and end for longer placements ( greater than 16 weeks).
- The Student Sponsorship Program is eligible at all Queensland and Northern New South Wales Lumus Imaging clinics.
Who is eligible to participate in our Student Sponsorship Program?
All current students from a university accredited in Australia, who are seeking to complete a fourth year placement in Lumus Imaging Queensland are eligible to participate in our Student Sponsorship Program.
Additional conditions for the Student Sponsorship Program:
- Inclusion and acceptance into the Student Sponsorship Program is via successful application only.
- The student must be currently enrolled in an accredited Australian university, completing a fourth-year placement through that university.
- The applicant must have full employment rights to work in Australia post-graduation.
- The value of the awarded sponsorship is based on length of placement and distance from home and university to the placement location.
- The applicant must align with all Lumus values.
- The location of the clinic where the placement is to be performed must be a minimum of 100km from both the applicants home and university.
- The student must have maintained a 5.0 GPA or equivalent prior to application.
- The sponsorship amount is an ex-gratia payment (subject to applicable tax and superannuation).
- The student must successfully apply between the program dates listed above.
- There are no retrospective applications or approval, only students who have successfully applied and have not yet commenced their placement with Lumus Imaging.
- Payments will be made on the successful completion of placements under 16 weeks, and in two installments for placements longer than 16 weeks – being the midpoint and on successful completion of the placement.
- If the student does not complete the placement, no payment will be paid.
- The Student Sponsorship Program may be subject to change in accordance with the needs of the business.
- The Student Sponsorship Program does not form part of any employee’s contract of employment.
Student Sponsorship Program Process:

For a student completing a placement at a clinic greater than 100km from home and university, the following table shows the maximum amount potentially offered on successful application.
For a student completing a placement at a clinic greater than 75km from home and university but less than 100km, the following table shows the maximum amount potentially offered on successful application.
